South Korea searches for nine workers missing in Nepal floods

Nine South Korean workers have been missing in Nepal since severe floods and landslides struck on August 26.

They were working near a hydropower construction site close to the Nepal-Tibet border.

Six worked for Doosan Enerbility, and three worked for Korea South-East Power.

Korea South-East Power sent four teams with 46 people to search the mountains.

Searchers are looking in higher areas because the workers may have escaped there.

Drones, search dogs, and a helicopter are also being used.

A South Korean government rescue team is searching nearby areas too.

South Korea has asked Nepal’s government to give special help to the search.
