Women need to work harder in politics: Vasundhara Raje
Vasundhara Raje, a former chief minister, said that women have to work much harder than men to succeed in politics.
She talked about how women face more challenges in public life.
She mentioned that the number of women in politics has increased since India's independence, but it's still not enough.
She gave examples of successful women leaders like President Droupadi Murmu and former president Pratibha Patil.
Raje also said that education is very important for success.
Other important women also spoke at the event.
Women need to work three times harder than men to succeed in politics, according to Vasundhara Raje.
Women's literacy rate in India has increased from 9% at independence to 65% now.
The number of women in the Lok Sabha has increased from 22 in 1952 to 74 today.
Women now make up around 10% of candidates in general elections, up from 3% in 1957.
