Priyadarshan Calls Saif Ali Khan 'Very Mature Child' in Haiwaan
A movie maker named Priyadarshan made a new film called Haiwaan, which is about a hero who cannot see.
He worked with actor Saif Ali Khan for the very first time.
Priyadarshan said Saif is like a very mature child.
Saif asked lots of questions at first, but once he got answers, he listened and did what he was told.
Priyadarshan noticed that Saif read books between shots and never looked at his phone.
He said Saif is a big reader who knows a lot about the world.
Saif gave Priyadarshan a book as a gift, and the filmmaker said he enjoyed their time together.
In the movie, Saif plays a brave character who is visually challenged, and actor Akshay Kumar plays the bad guy.
Saif and Akshay also worked together in a movie called Tashan, which was 18 years ago.
Haiwaan comes out on September 11.
Priyadarshan and Saif Ali Khan collaborate for the first time on the psychological crime thriller Haiwaan, releasing September 11.
Priyadarshan described Saif as a "very mature child" and "too committed," saying he obeys direction once his questions are answered.
The filmmaker noted Saif reads books between shots and never uses his phone, calling him a voracious reader with impressive knowledge.
Saif plays a visually challenged protagonist, described by him as an Indian version of a blind samurai, while Akshay Kumar plays the antagonist.
Haiwaan reunites Saif and Akshay on screen 18 years after Tashan (2008); Saif compared Priyadarshan's directing style to Clint Eastwood's.
