DUSU Elections 2025: Candidates Face New Rules
The Delhi University student government elections are coming up!
To run, students need to promise to follow the rules.
They must submit a written statement and a 'bail bond' of 1 lakh rupees, although they don't actually have to pay the money unless they break the rules.
Campaign posters must be handmade.
The university is working hard to make sure the elections are fair and clean.
Many groups and authorities are keeping an eye on things.
Students seem eager to help make sure everything goes smoothly, and observers will monitor the colleges.
If someone doesn't follow the rules, it can be reported online.
Prospective candidates must submit an affidavit and a Rs 1 lakh bail bond.
Bail bond can be signed by supporters; amount is not deposited.
Handmade posters are the only permitted form of campaigning.
The university aims for transparent elections.
Various committees and agencies will monitor the election process.
