BJP Worker Arrested, Egged in Flat Dispute
A man named Barun Biswas, who works for the BJP, was arrested because an old woman said he wouldn't leave her apartment and hadn't paid rent for a long time.
When the police took him away, some people threw eggs at him and called him a thief.
This happened in a place called New Town.
The BJP said they don't interfere with police work.
Some people who care about human rights said throwing eggs is wrong and should stop.
A similar thing happened to someone from another political party a few weeks ago.
BJP functionary Barun Biswas arrested for allegedly occupying an 83-year-old woman’s apartment without paying rent.
Biswas was hit with eggs and branded a 'chor' while being taken away by police.
BJP spokesperson Debjit Sarkar stated the party does not interfere in police or administrative matters.
Complainant Anita Banerjee alleged Biswas had not paid rent since 2019 and refused to vacate the flat.
Human rights activists condemned the egg attack, calling it a social evil.
