Canadian Theaters Halt Indian Film Screenings After Attacks

Two Canadian movie theaters, Film.ca and York Cinemas, stopped showing Indian films after two violent incidents.

The first attack involved an attempt to set fire to the theater on September 25.

The second attack involved someone shooting at the theater on October 2.

The attacks caused damage and led to both theaters cancelling the screenings.

The CEO of Film.ca stated that the intention may have been to cause property damage in order to force the theater to close.

The police are investigating the incidents.

Another theater, York Cinemas, has also paused Indian film screenings.
