Toyota Unveils Mild-Hybrid 2026 Land Cruiser Prado
Toyota has updated the Land Cruiser Prado for 2026 with a new mild-hybrid engine.
This means the car now has a special electric motor that helps the diesel engine.
The electric motor helps the car start and stop smoothly, and it also gives the engine a little extra power when you speed up.
This technology, previously used in the Hilux, Fortuner, and Legender, makes driving in the city more comfortable.
The system also allows the car to drive through water up to 700mm deep.
The new system provides quicker, smoother, and quieter engine restarts with minimal vibration.
Toyota unveiled the updated 2026 Land Cruiser Prado (LC250) globally.
The updated Prado features a 2.8-litre diesel engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system.
The mild-hybrid system includes an electric motor-generator, a DC-DC power converter, and a lithium-ion battery.
The mild-hybrid powertrain delivers 201 bhp and 500 Nm of peak torque.
The system enhances the stop-start function, providing quicker and smoother engine restarts.
