High Court Upholds Abhishek Banerjee’s Overseas Travel for Treatment

Abhishek Banerjee is facing investigations in 16 cases.

He wants to travel to the United States for eye treatment.

The Supreme Court had already allowed this trip.

The state government asked a high court to stop him from leaving India.

The high court rejected that request.

It also temporarily protected him from forceful legal action in all 16 cases.

Investigators must tell him at least 36 hours before questioning him.

However, he must cooperate with the investigations and follow the courts’ travel conditions.
