Market Rebound Driven by Value Buying
The Indian stock market had a big jump on Friday.
The Sensex and Nifty, which are like report cards for the market, went up a lot.
This happened because people started buying big company stocks like Reliance, banks, and IT companies.
The rupee also got stronger against the US dollar, which made people feel better about investing.
Even though the overall market was a bit weak because of global issues, these big companies did well.
Some smaller companies didn't do as well, but the main focus was on the big ones.
It was a good day for investors who had money in these large companies.
Sensex climbed 964.58 points (1.25%) to settle at 78,151.45, while Nifty rose 261.55 points (1.09%) to end at 24,334.30.
Buying in blue-chip stocks like Reliance Industries, banking, and IT sectors drove the market rebound.
Strengthening rupee against the US dollar improved market sentiment.
Tech Mahindra surged 3.91% after reporting a 28.4% rise in net profit for Q1.
BSE SmallCap and MidCap indices declined, indicating a rotation from mid- and small-cap stocks to large caps.
