India's Cotton Stock Expected to Jump 47% by September 2025
India's cotton supply is expected to grow!
Experts predict that by the end of September 2025, there will be significantly more cotton stored, about 47% more.
This is largely because India is importing a lot more cotton.
Even though more cotton is available, people in India are also using more of it.
However, India is expected to export less cotton this year.
This information comes from the Cotton Association of India (CAI), a group that studies the cotton business in India.
Cotton stocks in India are projected to rise 47% to 57.59 lakh bales by September 2025.
This increase is primarily due to a surge in cotton imports, which are estimated to have more than doubled.
The Cotton Association of India (CAI) maintained its cotton pressing estimate for the season at 311.40 lakh bales.
Domestic cotton consumption estimate for 2024-25 has been increased to 314 lakh bales.
Cotton exports for 2024-25 are estimated at 18 lakh bales, a 36% decrease from the previous year.
