Expert Panel to Discuss Junior Doctors’ Stipend Hike

Expert Panel to Discuss Junior Doctors’ Stipend Hike

A government committee will meet to talk about increasing junior doctors’ stipends.

The meeting will take place on Thursday at 5 pm in Mangalagiri.

The money would be for interns and doctors studying advanced medical courses.

The Health Secretary will lead the five-member committee.

Other members include medical education officials, a university registrar, and a junior doctors’ representative.

The doctors previously protested about the stipend issue.

They stopped protesting after the AP High Court became involved.

The government is considering a 10% increase, but the doctors want a 13% increase.
