Nasscom Foundation and ONDC Empower 200 Women Entrepreneurs in Karnataka
Imagine a big online store where anyone can sell things.
Some women who make beautiful crafts or products in Karnataka found it hard to join this store because they didn't know how to use computers well or reach many customers.
So, two groups, Nasscom Foundation and ONDC, are helping 200 of these women.
They are teaching them how to use the online store, helping them put their products on display, and showing them how to get paid.
This helps these women sell more things and grow their businesses.
It's like giving them a special key to unlock a bigger marketplace and helping them become super sellers online.
They are learning new computer skills and finding new customers, which helps them earn more money.
Nasscom Foundation and ONDC Network are collaborating to digitally empower 200 women-led businesses in Karnataka.
The initiative aims to onboard women entrepreneurs onto the ONDC Network, expanding their access to e-commerce markets.
Support includes training, cataloguing, GST registration, and capacity building to address challenges like limited market access and digital skills.
Sellers from sectors such as handicrafts, handloom, and manufacturing are being supported to increase incomes and improve business outcomes.
The program has been implemented across 22 districts in Karnataka, including both rural and urban areas.
