India Open: Mixed Results for Indian Badminton Players

The India Open Super 750 badminton tournament had some ups and downs for Indian players.

PV Sindhu, who won medals in the Olympics, lost her first match to a player from Vietnam.

Kidambi Srikanth, another top player, won his match against a fellow Indian.

Malvika Bansod, who is coming back from an injury, also won her match.

The women's doubles team of Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand won their match and will play against players from China next.

However, three mixed doubles teams from India lost their first matches.

Some players have talked about the playing conditions, with one player from Denmark saying the surroundings are not healthy.

But Kidambi Srikanth said every country has different conditions and he hasn't seen anything bad.
