AP To Begin Cancer Symptom Survey Targeting Millions
The Andhra Pradesh government is starting a health survey to check for signs of cancer.
They will go to homes and ask questions to look for symptoms of oral, cervical, and breast cancer.
The survey will involve a lot of people, like doctors and other healthcare workers, who will be trained beforehand.
If someone shows symptoms, they will get initial tests and then be sent for more tests.
This is similar to a previous survey they did, but they hope this one will be more helpful.
Andhra Pradesh government will conduct a door-to-door survey for cancer symptoms.
The survey, called Non-Communicable Disease 4.0, starts in October targeting 4.10 crore people.
18,000 personnel, including paramedical staff and doctors, will be trained starting August 21.
The survey includes primary medical tests and treatment for those with symptoms.
The previous NCD-3.0 survey in November was inconclusive.
