Lok Adalat Allows LLM Student to Appear in Exams
A student named Abhishek Malhotra was studying law at Amity University.
He was admitted late and couldn't attend enough classes, so the university said he couldn't take two important exams.
But the Lok Adalat, which is like a special court, said it was unfair and told the university to let him take the exams.
The exams are about laws related to ideas and money problems.
The university has to give him a new admit card so he can take the exams on December 19 and December 26.
Lok Adalat directed Amity University to allow an LLM student to appear in exams despite attendance shortage.
The student, Abhishek Malhotra, was barred from appearing in two first-semester papers.
The exams are scheduled for December 19 and December 26.
The court ordered the university to issue a fresh admit card without delay.
The student was admitted to the LLM programme on October 13, after classes had commenced in August.
