MahaRail MD Jaiswal Leads Maharashtra's Infrastructure Leap
Rajesh Kumar Jaiswal is the boss of a company called MahaRail that builds things for trains in Maharashtra.
He wants to stop cars from having to cross train tracks, which can be dangerous.
So, he is building bridges and tunnels so cars can go over or under the tracks.
They just finished a big bridge in Mumbai and a new bridge in Virar very quickly.
They plan to build many more bridges to make the whole state safer for everyone.
Rajesh Kumar Jaiswal, MD of MahaRail, oversees all projects and aims to make Maharashtra accident‑free by replacing level crossings with bridges and subways.
The Byculla Cable‑Stayed Bridge is being built first to keep traffic flowing, with a 1500 MT steel launch over a busy market using a deck erection crane.
The Elphinstone double‑decker bridge is under construction; its 4000 MT steel assembly must fit within tight space while crossing Central and Western Railway lines.
The LC‑41 ROB at Virar was completed in record time using push‑pull launching and a single‑continuous deck pour, improving safety and reducing congestion.
MahaRail plans 145 ROBs, RUBs, and FOBs, with 65 approved for phase one, targeting 131 crossings for a “Railway Fatak‑Free” Maharashtra.
