Modi Urges BRICS Reset and Urgent UN Security Council Reform

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said BRICS should plan for its next 20 years.

He called the group mature enough to turn agreements into real results.

He proposed a system to keep projects moving when the BRICS presidency changes every year.

This system would use past, current and future chairs to track progress.

A secure digital record would show who is responsible and when work should be completed.

Modi also said the United Nations Security Council should be changed soon.

He argued that developing countries need a bigger voice in global decisions.

BRICS members agreed on a joint statement after talks continued until early Saturday morning.
