Court Grants Bail to Activist Khurram Parvez

Court Grants Bail to Activist Khurram Parvez

Khurram Parvez is a human rights activist from Kashmir who has been in jail for four and a half years.

He was charged with terror-related activities under a strict law called UAPA.

Recently, two courts in Delhi granted him bail.

The first bail was granted by the Delhi High Court on June 10, and the second by the Patiala House Court on June 17.

This means he can be released from jail.

Some people, including the government, believe he was involved in illegal activities, while others, including his supporters, think he was targeted for his human rights work.

The courts have not yet explained their decisions in detail.
