L&T Awarded ₹2,500-5,000 Crore Contract by Hindustan Zinc
Hindustan Zinc, which is part of the Vedanta Group, is building a new factory to make zinc.
They hired Larsen & Toubro (L&T) to design and set it up.
This means L&T will plan the factory, get all the parts, and put everything together in Rajasthan.
The factory will make a special kind of zinc that is very pure.
The project is worth a lot of money, between 2,500 and 5,000 crore rupees, and includes new facilities for leaching, purification and a Jarosite Circuit.
L&T secured a contract from Hindustan Zinc, a Vedanta Group company.
The project is valued between ₹2,500-5,000 crore.
L&T will design and commission a plant at the Debari Smelter Complex.
The facility will produce special high grade zinc cathodes.
The project is for a 250 KTPA leaching, purification and cellhouse facility, and a 125 KTPA Jarosite Circuit.
