Annamalai Mocks Vijay’s London Investment Trip, Defends India’s Economy

Chief Minister Joseph Vijay visited the United Kingdom to seek investments for Tamil Nadu.

The state government said companies proposed investments worth Rs 15,300 crore.

It also said these projects could create more than 10,000 jobs.

K Annamalai criticized the trip and called the UK a weak or “dead” economy.

He said India’s economy is larger than the UK’s.

He argued that Vijay should meet companies inside Tamil Nadu instead.

Udhayanidhi Stalin made a different criticism of Vijay’s speaking style.

He said Vijay uses dramatic movie-like lines instead of giving direct answers in the Assembly.
