MLA Flags Drinking Water Crisis in Madhurawada and Bheemili

People in Madhurawada and Bheemili are facing a shortage of drinking water.

Bheemili MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao asked city officials to act quickly.

He wants water from the Tatapudi reservoir to be supplied to residents.

He also spoke with Minister P. Narayana about the problem.

The MLA said water supplies have not improved enough, even though Godavari water has reached Visakhapatnam.

Officials said low groundwater levels and poor rainfall have made the situation worse.

A ₹550-crore project is being built to provide Madhurawada with water for the long term.

Officials also showed plans for a ₹4-crore project in Ward 4.

The MLA asked officials to complete approved projects on time and use local workers.
