Delhi man denied Manali trek refund wins payout after rain cancellation

A man in Delhi paid some money to go on a trekking trip to Manali, a place in the mountains.

The weather got bad, and there were warnings about very heavy rain.

The man thought it was too dangerous to travel.

So he asked the trekking company to cancel his trip and give his money back.

But the company said no.

The man got upset and took the company to a special court called a consumer commission.

The court looked at the case and said the company had to pay the man back.

The company had to return the 3,000 rupees he had paid.

The company also had to pay him an extra 2,500 rupees because he had to work hard to get his money back.

The court also made the company pay 2,500 rupees for legal costs, so in the end the man got his money back and more.
