Maharashtra Plans 100 Ambulances To Speed Accident Emergency Response

Maharashtra wants to place up to 100 ambulances near dangerous roads.

These places are called black spots or accident-prone areas.

The ambulances would try to reach injured people quickly.

They would give first aid and take patients to a hospital or trauma centre.

This is important because the first hour after an accident can be very serious.

The plan may cover major expressways, highways and remote areas.

The government is also considering an air ambulance for critically injured people.

It may also change ambulance charges because operating costs have increased.
