Keshav pledges all-round development of Anantapur on Independence Day

India celebrated a big birthday — its 80th Independence Day.

In a city called Anantapur, a big ceremony was held at the police parade grounds.

A minister named Payyavula Keshav raised the national flag.

He sang songs for the country together with everyone at the ceremony.

Soldiers marched in a special parade to show their respect.

The minister remembered heroes who helped India become free, like Mahatma Gandhi and Subhash Chandra Bose.

He said being truly free also means no poverty, no unhappy farmers, and jobs for young people.

He promised to help Anantapur grow and improve in every way.
