Supreme Court Eases Reporting Rule for Delhi Riots Accused Haider

The Supreme Court changed one rule for Meeran Haider, who is accused in a case about the 2020 Delhi riots.

Before, he had to visit a police station twice every week.

Now, he only has to go once a week, on Saturdays.

He must report between 10 a.m.

and noon.

The court also excused him from reporting on October 17 and October 24.

This is because he plans to get married on October 17.

Other rules from his bail are still in place.

These rules stop him from posting on social media or joining gatherings and rallies.

The case against him and other accused people will continue.
