Petrol and Diesel Prices Hold Steady Across Indian Cities

Fuel prices in several Indian cities stayed steady on August 21, 2026.

In Delhi, petrol cost ₹102.12 per litre and diesel cost ₹95.20.

Hyderabad had the highest listed prices, with petrol at ₹115.69 and diesel at ₹103.82.

Mumbai petrol cost ₹111.21 per litre.

Petrol was also above ₹110 in Kolkata and Bengaluru.

Diesel was below ₹100 in most listed cities, but it was above ₹100 in Hyderabad.

India imports much of the crude oil used to make fuel, so global oil prices can affect local rates.

Taxes, the rupee-dollar exchange rate, transport costs and local demand can also make prices different.
