Sikandar Raza Joins Dambulla Sixers as LPL Replacement

Sikandar Raza, a star from Zimbabwe, has joined the Dambulla Sixers team in Sri Lanka for the 2026 Lanka Premier League.

He is replacing a South African player, Marques Ackerman, who got hurt.

Raza is a very good all‑rounder, having scored many runs and taken many wickets in T20 cricket.

The Dambulla Sixers are currently in fourth place, having won two of their six games.

Other teams in the league are also changing players because of injuries or because players are needed for their national teams.

The league organizers say that having a strong pool of replacement players keeps the competition exciting.

Raza’s experience is expected to help his new team reach the knockout stage.

The league director, Samantha Dodanwela, welcomed Raza and other new players.

The Dambulla Sixers hope to finish the season strongly.
