Shiv Sena Leader Phatak Acquitted in ₹26-Crore Cheating Case

A court in Mumbai has decided that Ravindra Phatak, who is a leader in the Shiv Sena party, and others did not commit the crimes they were accused of.

A businessman claimed Phatak cheated him out of a large sum of money, about 26 crore rupees, by making up false documents related to land investment.

The accusations included breaking trust.

The court, after reviewing the evidence and noting a settlement, found Phatak and the others not guilty.

The lawyer argued it was a civil dispute.

The full explanation from the court has not been released yet.
