Heavy Rains Halt Coal Production in SCCL Mines
Imagine the coal mines are like big holes in the ground, and the rain is like a giant shower.
Because of the heavy rain, the mines got filled with water, and the machines that dig up the coal couldn't work.
This stopped a lot of coal from being dug up each day.
The people in charge are going to try to find ways to get more coal.
Luckily, the mines that dig from underground were still working, even with the rain.
Heavy rainfall caused a halt in coal production in several opencast mines of SCCL.
Rainwater entered opencast mines in multiple districts, disrupting operations.
Daily production of nearly one lakh tonnes of coal has been affected across 22 opencast mines.
Opencast mines in Srirampur, Mandamarri, and Bellampalli divisions faced production hits.
Underground mining activities continued uninterrupted despite the rainfall.
