Hyderabad Police Enhance Surveillance and Crime Control
The Hyderabad Police have started two new teams to keep the city safe.
The EYES team will make sure all the cameras in the city work all the time.
They have special teams with cars and bikes to fix any problems with the cameras very quickly.
The police also have a special team that looks at the camera feeds to help them catch bad guys.
They even have a way for people to donate cameras to make the city safer.
The other team, called CIT, will help make sure bad guys get punished.
The police chief said that with all these cameras, every part of the city is being watched all the time.
The police are also focusing on solving cases faster and treating women visitors nicely at police stations.
Hyderabad Police launched the EYES Team and Advanced City Surveillance Grid Management Protocol for 24/7 city surveillance.
The initiative aims to maintain over 16,000 police CCTVs and 50,000 private feeds with near-zero downtime.
Two EYES squads will be deployed in each zone, equipped with vehicles and tools for rapid response to camera faults.
A 24/7 Camera Support Call Centre and RFID-tagged stores will ensure seamless availability of spare parts.
The Christian Leaders Forum donated Rs 4 lakh to the 'Donate a Camera, Build a Safer Street' initiative.
