100 PM Vishwakarma Artisans Invited to 80th Independence Day Celebrations

India is getting ready to celebrate its Independence Day.

This year is special because it is the 80th Independence Day.

The big celebration will happen at the Red Fort in New Delhi.

The government invited 100 very special guests to come and watch.

These guests are artisans, which means people who make things with their hands.

They are tailors, carpenters, goldsmiths, blacksmiths, locksmiths, and other craftspeople.

They are part of a program called PM Vishwakarma that helps craftspeople learn skills and get better tools.

Some of the invited guests are women who make traditional crafts.

The guests will bring their spouses or companions and receive a souvenir gift.

The government wanted to say thank you because these craftspeople help keep India's traditions and culture alive.
