Parliament Winter Session: Opposition Criticizes Short Duration
The Indian Parliament's Winter Session is going to be very short, only 15 days.
The Opposition, especially the Congress party, is not happy about this.
They say the government is doing this to avoid talking about important issues and to avoid being questioned.
The Congress leader Manickam Tagore said this is the shortest session ever and that the government is running away from debates.
The Congress also defended their leader Rahul Gandhi, who has been called an 'escapist' by the ruling party.
They say he has been very active in asking the government tough questions.
There is also a big fight about the song Vande Mataram.
The BJP accused some Congress leaders of not supporting the song, but the Congress says this is not true and that the BJP is using the song to target minority leaders.
The Congress says the BJP is being hypocritical because they did not support the song when it was banned in Parliament.
The Winter Session starts on December 1 and ends on December 19, and there will be a lot of arguments and discussions during this time.
Opposition criticizes the government for the shortest-ever Winter Session of Parliament, alleging it's to avoid accountability.
