Noida Tightens CNG Checks Over Three-Year Cylinder Testing Rule

Noida has introduced stricter safety checks for vehicles that use CNG.

Before filling gas, pump workers must check the vehicle’s hydrotest certificate.

They must also look at the date printed on the compliance plate.

CNG cylinders are required to be tested every three years.

Vehicles without a valid test certificate will not receive CNG.

Vehicles with cylinders older than three years can also be stopped from refuelling.

Old cylinders may become weaker or develop leaking valves.

The administration says these checks are meant to reduce the danger of a cylinder bursting during high-pressure filling.
