Lee Jae-myung Leads South Korea Presidential Race
South Korea is about to have a presidential election.
A new poll shows that the candidate named Lee Jae-myung is likely to win, with almost half the people surveyed supporting him.
The main election is scheduled for June 3rd.
Another candidate, Kim Moon-soo, is in second place, while Lee Jun-seok is also running, targeting younger voters.
The poll was done by asking people over the phone their opinions.
This comes after some political problems caused by a previous leader.
Even if the other parties joined together, the poll says Lee would still win.
A Gallup poll indicates Lee Jae-myung is the frontrunner for South Korea's presidency.
The election is scheduled for June 3, following political turmoil.
Lee Jae-myung of the Democratic Party leads with 49% support, ahead of Kim Moon-soo (35%).
Lee Jun-seok of the Reform Party has 11% support.
Polls suggest Lee Jae-myung would win despite facing a unified conservative candidate.
