Cab Driver Arrested for Raping Cabin Crew Member

A 23-year-old cab driver named Errapogu Prashanth Kumar was arrested for allegedly raping a 37-year-old cabin crew member.

The incident happened on July 20, 2026, when the woman was traveling to Hyderabad airport.

The driver took a detour to a secluded area near an under-construction site, claiming he needed to use the restroom.

He then returned to the car and sexually assaulted the woman.

The victim resisted and managed to escape, seeking help from a nearby worker.

The driver fled the scene.

The victim filed a complaint, and the police arrested the driver the next day.

The accused confessed to the crime during interrogation and was remanded to judicial custody.
