Moga Woman Builds Rs 80 Lakh Enterprise on Leased Land
Mandeep Kaur Khaira farms land that her family mostly leases from other people.
She owns only half an acre but works on about 40 acres.
At first, some villagers made fun of her for working in the fields.
Mandeep and her husband slowly gained the trust of landowners.
They used farming income to buy tractors, equipment and other assets.
They grow many different crops instead of relying only on wheat and paddy.
They also rent out some equipment and earn money from dairy and sand-supply work.
Mandeep hopes to buy agricultural land of her own one day.
Mandeep Kaur Khaira farms about 40 acres of leased land despite owning only half an acre.
She and her husband gradually expanded their leased holdings from 9–10 acres to 40 acres.

Their diversified crops include potatoes, wheat, cauliflower, radish, beetroot, saag, maize, moong and short-duration paddy.
