Ohio Birthday Party Shooting Injures Nine at Airbnb
A big birthday party was happening at a house rented through Airbnb, and it was advertised on social media, so lots of young people showed up.
Sadly, someone started shooting during the party very early on a Sunday morning.
When the police arrived, it was a very chaotic scene, and they found nine people who were hurt.
Some of the injured were kids and some were adults.
The police are still trying to figure out who did the shooting and why.
The company Airbnb said they took down the listing for that house and banned the person who rented it because unauthorized parties are against their rules.
This happened in a town that also had a similar shooting at an Airbnb rental a few years ago.
Nine people were injured in a shooting at a birthday party held at an Airbnb rental in Bath Township, Ohio.
The party was advertised on social media and drew a large crowd, primarily composed of individuals under 18.
The shooting occurred early Sunday morning around 12:15 a.m., leading to a chaotic scene upon police arrival.
The Airbnb rental violated local zoning laws, as short-term rentals are prohibited in Bath Township.
Airbnb has suspended the property listing and removed the renter's account while investigations into the shooting continue.
