3 Killed in Delhi Metro Fire
A big fire happened early in the morning in a building where Delhi Metro workers live.
Three people, a dad, mom, and their little girl, sadly died in the fire.
Firefighters came to help, but one of them got hurt too.
The police are trying to find out what caused the fire.
This happened just a day after another fire in a different part of Delhi, which was caused by a gas cylinder explosion.
The fire department in Delhi is also having a hard time because they don't have enough workers to keep the city safe from fires.
A fire broke out on the fifth floor of Delhi Metro staff quarters in Adarsh Nagar, killing three people.
The victims were identified as Ajay Vimal (45), an Assistant Section Engineer with DMRC, his wife Neelam (38), and their 10-year-old daughter Jahnvi.
The fire was reported at around 02:34 a.m. on Tuesday, and the in-house fire-fighting system was activated to control the fire.
One firefighter was injured during the rescue operation, and the cause of the fire is under police investigation, with preliminary indications suggesting an electrical short circuit in a room heater.
The Delhi Fire Services (DFS) is experiencing a significant shortage of personnel, affecting fire safety across the city.
