Ashleigh Gardner Named Sydney Sixers Captain for WBBL 11

A cricket player named Ashleigh Gardner will be the new captain for her team, the Sydney Sixers, in the next season of the Women's Big Bash League.

For ten years, another famous player, Ellyse Perry, was the captain since the team first started.

Ashleigh has played for the Sixers for a long time and has set club records for playing in many games and taking lots of wickets.

She is also third in the club for runs scored.

Ellyse Perry said she is proud to see Ashleigh take over and that she enjoyed being captain for a decade.
