DeepSeek, a Chinese AI company, has released a new version of its experimental AI model, DeepSeek-V3.1-Exp.

This new model uses a technique called DeepSeek Sparse Attention to improve how it processes information, especially for long texts.

The company is working with Chinese chipmakers, including Huawei, on this new model.

DeepSeek has also reduced the cost of its software tools.

The company says this is an important step toward their next-generation AI.
