Mumbai Milk, Gas and Transport Prices Rise Ahead of Festivals

Milk is becoming more expensive in Mumbai.

The Bombay Milk Producers’ Association raised its wholesale price by Rs 9 per litre.

Some farm-supplied milk could cost as much as Rs 110 per litre.

Gokul had also recently raised its buffalo milk price by Rs 2 per litre.

Cooking and vehicle gas are becoming more expensive too.

Mahanagar Gas Limited said imported gas costs increased because of supply problems linked to the West Asia crisis.

This made auto and taxi fares go up.

Families and businesses that use milk or gas may now have to spend more money.
