Indore Congress Workers Protest Inflation With Sugar Loans, Tea Stalls

Congress workers in Indore held protests because they say everyday goods have become too expensive.

They held demonstrations at 24 places on Thursday.

At some locations, they pretended to give people loans to buy sugar.

At other locations, they opened tea stalls.

The workers said sugar, cooking gas and electricity prices had increased.

City Congress president Chintu Choukse blamed the central and state governments.

The protests also included marches, cooking bread on a roadside stove and handing out sugar packets.

The events took place across several assembly constituencies in Indore.
