Singareni to Pay Rs.819 Crore Bonus to Over 71,000 Workers
Singareni is a company that mines coal.
It made Rs.6,394 crore in profit during the 2024–25 financial year.
Union minister G. Kishan Reddy announced that the company will share Rs.819 crore of that profit with its workers.
More than 71,000 people will get a bonus.
About 41,000 regular workers will each receive Rs.1,95,610.
More than 30,000 contract workers will each receive Rs.5,500.
That is Rs.500 more than contract workers received last year.
The government has also recently announced other benefits for coal-sector workers.
Singareni Collieries Company Limited will distribute Rs.819 crore in bonuses to more than 71,000 regular and contract employees.
