Sawan Purnima and Rakhi on Same Day with Auspicious Timings
This year, the Sawan Purnima festival has a special schedule!
The fasting part of the celebration is on August 8.
Then, on August 9, people will do their special bathings and give donations.
Also on August 9, it's Raksha Bandhan, where sisters tie Rakhis to their brothers.
There is no Bhadra this year, so the Rakhi celebrations can last all day.
There are also special lucky times (yogas) during this period, believed to bring extra blessings.
So it is a day full of joy and rituals!
