US-Russia-Ukraine Peace Talks Stall
The US and Russia had a long meeting to try to make peace in Ukraine.
The US brought a new plan, but Russia said no to giving back the land it took.
The Russian leader, Putin, said some parts of the plan were okay, but not the important ones about land.
The US leader, Trump, said it's a big mess.
The leader of Ukraine, Zelensky, said any peace deal must be fair and include Ukraine.
The talks didn't solve anything, but they didn't make things worse either.
Everyone agrees it's a hard problem to fix.
High-level talks between the US and Russia on a peace plan for Ukraine ended without a compromise on territorial issues.
The US presented a revised 19-point peace framework, but Russia rejected key elements, particularly those related to territory.
Russian President Vladimir Putin met with US President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner and special envoy Steve Witkoff for a five-hour discussion.
Putin acknowledged that some parts of the US plan were acceptable, but others were not, and work will continue.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that any peace deal must be fair, transparent, and include Ukraine's interests.
