Maharashtra FYJC Admissions Delayed, Minister Says Similar Timeline
The start of high school in Maharashtra is a little delayed because of some computer problems.
The government is using a new online system for applications, which caused the delay.
While the first round was planned for June 10th, it has now been moved to June 26th.
However, officials say it's still happening at about the same time as last year.
Around 60,487 students have already been admitted through special programs.
First Year Junior College (FYJC) admissions are experiencing delays due to technical issues.
The Central Application Process (CAP) for FYJC admissions is online across Maharashtra for the first time.
The first round CAP allotment, originally scheduled for June 10, has been postponed to June 26.
Maharashtra's Education Minister stated the admission timeline is similar to last year despite the delay.
