CAQM Inspects Industrial Units in Naraina
The CAQM, along with the DPCC and Delhi Cantonment Board, conducted a special inspection of industrial units in the Naraina Cantonment area.
This was done because residents complained about these units causing pollution.
They checked 21 units and found that 19 of them were household industries without the necessary permission (NOC).
The other 2 units were not even allowed to be there.
The CAQM has asked the Delhi Cantonment Board to make sure these units get the right permissions before they can operate.
This is to help reduce pollution in the area.
CAQM conducted a joint inspection of 21 industrial units in Naraina Cantonment area following public complaints.
19 units were categorized as 'Household Industries' but lacked the required No Objection Certificate (NOC).
2 units were not listed under permissible household industries.
None of the inspected units could produce the mandatory NOC.
CAQM advised the Delhi Cantonment Board to take necessary action to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
