Delhi's Red Fort Reopens After UNESCO Event
The Red Fort in Delhi, a very old and important building, was closed for a few weeks.
It was closed to host a big meeting by UNESCO, which is an organization that protects important cultural things around the world.
The fort is a popular place for tourists to visit.
It was built a long time ago by a king named Shah Jahan.
The meeting was held with extra security because there was a recent explosion near the fort.
Now, the fort is opening again for visitors.
People can go back to taking pictures and learning about its history.
Red Fort in Delhi reopens for visitors on December 16 after being closed since December 5.
The fort was closed to host the 20th session of UNESCO's Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage from December 8-13.
The Mughal-era monument, built between 1638 and 1648, is a popular tourist attraction in Old Delhi.
The UNESCO event was held under heightened security due to a recent blast at the fort on November 10.
The famous Chandni Chowk market lies opposite the Red Fort, and many tourists took pictures from there during the closure.
