Government Initiatives Boost Handicraft Sector at IITF & GSB
Two big events, the India International Trade Fair (IITF) and the Gandhi Shilpa Bazaar (GSB), are happening in India.
These events show off many different types of traditional crafts made by people from all over the country.
The IITF has special sections for small businesses and traditional crafts, while the GSB is a big handicrafts exhibition in Hyderabad.
Both events help these small businesses show their work to many people and find new ways to grow and become more independent.
The government is helping with these events to support the people who make these crafts and to keep these traditional skills alive.
Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi inaugurated MSME, KVIC, COIR, and NSSH Pavilions at the 44th India International Trade Fair (IITF).
Gandhi Shilpa Bazaar (GSB), an all-India handicrafts exhibition, opened at Shilparamam, Hyderabad, under the Comprehensive Handicrafts Cluster Development Scheme (CHCDS).
