Odisha Government to Expand Industrial Security Force with New Battalions
The Odisha Chief Minister decided to create two more security teams, called battalions, to protect industries in the state.
This means there will be a total of four teams.
The government is also adding over 2,000 new jobs to staff these teams, a mix of permanent and temporary positions.
The new battalions are needed because the state is focused on industrial growth and wants to keep the new factories safe.
This initiative is related to the 'Make in Odisha 2025' program, which aims to boost industry in the region.
Odisha CM approved two more Odisha Industrial Security Force battalions.
The total number of OISF battalions will increase to four.
